This Acceptable Use Policy governs how customers may use LightningByrd hosting, domain, and related services.

Overview

LightningByrd LLC provides hosting and related services to a wide range of customers. To keep our platform safe and reliable for everyone, all customers agree to this Acceptable Use Policy when using our services.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL.

Prohibited content and conduct

Customers may not use our services to publish, host, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or is intended to defraud or harm others.

Prohibited activities include phishing, distribution of malware, hosting of child sexual abuse material, and any content prohibited under applicable U.S. or international law.

Network and system abuse

Customers may not use our services to disrupt the operation of any network or system, including denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, unauthorized vulnerability testing, or excessive consumption of shared resources.

Cryptocurrency mining is not permitted on shared hosting or unmanaged VPS plans without prior written consent.

Email and messaging

Customers may not use our services to send unsolicited bulk email, harvest email addresses, or violate the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, GDPR, or any other applicable communications law.

Mail servers must be properly configured to prevent open relays and forwarding abuse.

Enforcement

Suspected violations may result in suspension or termination of services, with or without notice depending on severity. We will work with customers in good faith to resolve issues whenever possible.
